We have all seen the great hollywood productions of Jesus' life story. He is often portrayed by such handsome men such as Diogo Morgado (The Bible 2013), Robert Powell (Jesus of Nazareth 1977) or Jeffrey Hunter (King of Kings 1961). Then there are pictures that describe His beauty. Davinci's the Last supper, The Divine Mercy and The Christ Pantokrator all give an image of an attractive man ozzing of charisma and magnetism. But is Man's portrayal of Jesus accurate?
One might seem it unbelievable that as big the bible is, and as important Jesus is, why the New Testament never describe his physical appearance. While this is true, that the New Testament has no definitive
description of what Jesus looked like, agruably the best clue as to His appearance is found in the Old Testament book of Isaiah. Chapter 53 verse 2 to be exact:
Isaiah 53:2
2) For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, And as a root out of dry ground. He has no form or comeliness; And when we see Him, There is no beauty that we should desire Him.
-they didnt even know who he was, thats why judas had to tell them He is the one who he kisses. This shows that after 3 years of preaching, he had no lasting impression that
people would remember him.
